How do you dial a dial-up connection?

I know dialup is very old, but it’s still needed sometimes and I’m also curious for learning Linux. Well, I went to Yast -> Network Devices -> Modem and added a modem with its provider settings. It’s an internal modem in my laptop and I added it to /dev/modem.

My question is, how do I dial my dial-up connection? If I right click the connecion icon in the system tray (the one with the globe) my connection doesn’t appear there. How is it done?

try using kppp or wvdial to make the connection

Thanks  Fails with “Device or resource busy” but that’ll probably get fixed.

If I can leave a feature request, this should probably be added to the menu or tray icon for beginners who may use dialup.
