How do I update my Nvidia driver ?

openSUSE 12.3
KDE 4.10.5

This is a fresh install of 12.3 and I think I need to update the video drivers.
Text in a colsole window is difficult to read
Videos are distorted.
I had version 304.88 and it worked fine but the new install must have wiped it clean.
I don’t know how to see what version I have but I will try and find out and post back.

When I was struggling with this before there were some terminal commands by other members that I was following that would
show me what I had installed, how to delete the old drivers and install the new ones.
Naturally I did not write them down but this time I will. I think I just downloaded the correct files as:

Oct 22 13:28 nvidia-computeG02-304.88-26.1.x86_64.rpm
Oct 22 13:28 nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-desktop-304.88_k3.7.10_1.1-25.1.x86_64.rpm
Oct 22 13:30 x11-video-nvidiaG02-304.88-26.1.x86_64.rpm

Do I just click on them, does it make any difference what order I install them ?

thanks

In Yast, you can add community repositories. Just add the nvidia repository from there and you will get up-to-date nvidia drivers.

It did make a difference in the order of installing but all seems well now.
