ip addr

You posted the output of iwconfig.
From the output of that it looks like the driver is actually loaded properly. However, what driver are you using and what is the model of the broadcomm card?
What is the result if you do:

iwlist scan

Does it find your wireless networks?

Are you trying with networkmanager or ifup/ifdown? KDE or Gnome?

The first thing we really need is the results of ‘/sbin/lspci -nnv | grep 14e4’
for the wireless chip. Until we have the PCI IDs, we have no idea what driver is
needed.

Is it turned on in the bios? Hit F2 during startup and verify that.
