How do I setup fonts when using i3wm to look better, like in XFCE?

In i3wm I notice that my font/text does not look the same as in XFCE. In i3wm it appears to have be less smooth and different spacing. I notice this in my browser URL bar, and bookmark folder text, inside the file manager Thunar text.

So, I’m wondering what I can do with Tumbleweed to setup font configuration that would make fonts look better.

OpenSUSE has a font configuration guide in the wiki. The Arch wiki also helps, but do not copy and paste from there, as distributions may differ underneath and it could cause errors.

You can do it both on your ~/.config and system wide over /etc/fonts/fonts.conf
