Hi
I’m guessing it’s set to autologin? If so fire up YaST system -> sysconfig editor and under Desktop -> Display manager -> DISPLAYMANAGER_AUTOLOGIN remove the username and save.
The old instructions should still work. In case you have forgotten them, malcomlewis has kindly described them in the previous reply.
To be sure, I just tested. I did a clean install of Tumbleweed 20191211 into a virtual machine. I went with the KDE desktop. I used defaults for almost everything, except that I used “ext4” for the file system.
On reboot, I was logged in automatically. So I used Yast “/etc/sysconfig” editor as explained, and set the DISPLAYMANAGER_AUTOLOGIN to empty. I rebooted, and got a login prompt – exactly as expected.
YaST - User and Group Management - Expert Options drop down menu bottom left - Login Settings
thank you, all.
that sorted it.
