How do I revert my graphics card driver?

Hi, I installed some proprietary driver, but I get glitches in Gnome 3. I don’t know how to fix it :frowning:

You might get more help if you provide information about the version of
openSUSE you’re using and what video card/driver combination you’ve got
installed.

Ok I have radeon hd 4850, opensuse 12.1 64 bit. I installed the 11.11 drivers I think, but I installed a few on top of it because nothing fixed it so I don’t know exactly. I just want it to go back to the way it was.

All you should have to do is uninstall the Catalyst drivers. How did you
do the installation?

What is the output of

rpm -qa '*fglrx*'

Did you modify mode setting in : yast > System > /etc/sysconfig Editor > System > Kernel > NO_KMS_IN_INITRD ? Is it YES or NO now ?

Does your PC have an /etc/X11/xorg.conf file ? Does your PC have any custom settings in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-device.conf ?

@oldcpu: rpm -qa ‘fglrx’ output is nothing.
./kernel:NO_KMS_IN_INITRD=“yes”

@hendersj: I installed these: ati-driver-installer-11-11-x86.x86_64.run
fglrx64_xpic_SUSE121-8.911-1.x86_64.rpm
