I have openSUSE 11.1 KDE 4.1.3 and can’t find a way to put programs such as gimp in to the “desktop folder” is there a way? additionally, how do I put a different wallpaper in each of my desktops? I could very easily in 10.3 KDE3, just can’t find away to do it in the new system. Can it be done and if so how?
Only one wallpaper in kde4 at the moment
If you have a desktop folder
Go to the app you want via the Start button - Press Hold mouse button on it and drag to desktop folder - copy here

Re: RJones
As for the different wallpaper I don’t think that’ll be implemented (my opinion) since there’s the Activities feature. Go to the cashew icon on desktop, click on reduce and add an activity. The new activity can have a wallpaper and different plasmoids. Activities can be managed via the Activity bar plasmoid.
This is still under heavy development, though, so if you are still in 4.1.3 it might not even be there.
Good. Well done
