How do I make wireless work in my Dell?

I m really new to Linux and m on the learning curve. So please be considerate while answering.

I want to connect to a wi-fi network using my openSUSE 11.1. I have no idea how to do that. I dont have a wired connection and all I have is the wi-fi network that can connect me to the internet.

I also have windows installed along with openSUSE 11.1 and so if any downloads need to be done to make wireless work I need to download them using windows and then boot my system with openSUSE and try them. I m telling you this cause if you are giving me a solution to make my wireless work by being connected to internet you should be aware of the fact. Moreover since I dont have any wired connection I havent yet configured my network settings ever.

Thanks for your replies.
