How do i install scrobbler for last fm from here Download The Last.fm Scrobbler – Last.fm . When i download this i get a tar file which doesn’t seem to install when i extract it to my home folder. Is there a rpm version of scrobbler available-searched the repositories-dosen’t seem to be there…
Once scrobbler’s installed will it integrate with banshee media player?

The ‘lastfm’ Package does provide a player to listen to last.fm-playlists (which can be scrobbled as well), but it’s not providing the scrobbler for your own players. It’s more like a radio-player.
What package is needed depends on the used player; in Amarok last.fm-scrobbling can be activated within the settings without the need for an extra-package, for xmms you’d need the package ‘xmms-scrobbler’ and activate it in the settings. So what player do you use?
