What program will I need to have this 3D cube and those cool effects I’ve seen in many videos and screen shots?

Tell us which desktop environment you are using. kde3? kde4? gnome?

Sorry I forgot. I’m using KDE 4.1.3.

Mind you I’m on 4.2.4 now, much better than 4.1.3
