How do I disable plymouth boot/shutdown screen?

I’d rather have the “service scroll” and see the green [OK] signs than have a fancy bootscreen I don’t really care for. Reason is both because I like it that way (yay dopamine) and because if something goes wrong during the boot, even if it’s not serious enough to stop booting, it lets me know quickly without having to read the logs once something serious happens. That way I can fix issues before they become so serious that they render system unbootable.

Note that I still want to have graphical login, just not shutdown/boot screens.

Remove “quiet” and “splash=silent” from kernel command line.
YaST → Boot loader → Kernel Parameters

And if that’s not good enough for you, disable or remove plymouth. Plymouth is what provides that fancy bootscreen.
