How do I defer starting NTP until a wireless connection is established

I have Tumbleweed on a laptop. I want to use NTP to avoid clock drift, but I don’t want to waste cycles polling when there is no connection. If I always connected at the same time then I could use chron, but my wifi access is intermittent. Is there any way that I can get NetworkManager to automatically start NTP once it activates a connection? Thanks.
