Anyone who knows of a good application/programme for testing system speed, I also need a reference to compare my eventual test results.
System speed, cpu speed, gpu speed, ram speed etc.?

Haven’t done any of these tests myself, but if you Google for ‘benchmark linux’ there seem to be many good hits…
