how divided new ssd (set partition table format), chose mbr method.

greeting
i just buy new (just come from seller without any format) A solid-state drive (ssd). when try install opensuse 15.3 on it can not find how chose “mbr” methods. so i run mint live cd and use disks to do that.

yeah the job is down but still hope know how do that using opensuse during installation, any help please.

In the partitioning section, go to expert partitioner (with existing partitions)

Select the disk. In my test, this was “/dev/sda” (and it was preselected).

Click “Device” near top left.

That gave me a menu with “Create New Partition Table”. When I click on that there are two choices – GPT and MS-DOS. Select MS-DOS for an MBR partition table.

I admit that this is not completely obvious at first try.

A few days ago I bought a new SSD. On default installation I clicked “Suggested partitioning” and “next”. I got:

erlangen:~ # fdisk -l /dev/nvme0n1
