How change CPU mode?

Hello!
Opensuse 11.2 Gnome
I want to change CPU mode to Performance. It’s easy to do with “CPU Freq Monitor” applet on the bar, but it doesn’t work(
I tried
>>sudo chmod 4755 /usr/bin/cpufreq-selector
but there is No such file or directory.

Sorry for my ban English(
Thankful in advance.

what do you mean it doesn’t work…how do you know?
does your processor support frequency scaling?
has that module been installed in your kernel?

Hi
Just install the cpufrequtils package, then it should all work. Else
you can run cpufreq-info and cpufreq-set from the command line.

Some else?
