A distro of linux I recently discovered, KnoppiXMAME, is currently only available as a Live CD, but I would like to make it bootable from a partition on one of my hard drives. I was wondering what files I would need to write to make this bootable from an HDD and how I can install them, or any other solutions that would allow me to boot this from a hard drive.
By far the cleanest way of doing this, if your machine supports USB booting is to ‘dd’ the image to a flash drive. I have done it and it is blazingly fast.
My boot menu didn’t recognize the USB drive I tried, but I was able to boot from a Memory Stick Duo, and it’s working perfectly now. Thanks.
