Hello,
There is a transparent area on the Desktop. I guess it’s called: Folder View.
I accidentally closed it. How can I launch/reopen it?
Thanks in advance for your answer,
Istvan
I am making a guess that you mean you closed or deleted your Desktop Folder Widget but mistake.
Been there, done that.
In an open area on the desktop, right click your mouse and select Add Widget from the menu
Then navigate the list of widgets that pops up across the bottom of the screen and select Folder View.
Then configure Folder View to display your desktop folder in /home/username/Desktop -
Hover over the Folder View widget, select the wrench to open Folder View Settings, then select the Display the Desktop Folder radio button.
This is for KDE, not sure in Gnome

You forgot to tell which desktop. You also forgot to tell which version of openSUSE. Please do tell such basic information first, even before you start to explain what your problem is.
If you want to stop accidentally closing it in future, simply Lock widgets.Incidentally, though by default it points at the Desktop folder, you can point it at any folder - very useful if you are in a meeting or giving a presentation because you can point it at the folder relevant to the meeting or presentation.
@HTH: Yes, I meant on Desktop Folder Widget.
Thanks for your answer. It is useful and well detailed.
@Henk: Thanks for your notification. It’s absolutely right.
@John: Thanks for your additional information. It is good.
Cheers,
Istvan
You are welcome.
