How can I install Unicode in OpenSUSE 13.1?
I want to install Sinhala Unicode:slight_smile:

Hum. Changing that is not trivial… openSUSE uses UTF-8, it is set
around that. If Sinhala is just a subset of UTF-8, then you can.

You do not install Unicode because it is already there.

You probably want Sinhala fonts installed, so you can see those Unicode codepoints on the screen (and print them, etc.)

When I use YaST > Software > Software management and then type sinhala in the Search field, I see the lklug-fonts package, where it says:

“Lanka Linux User Group” OpenType font for Sinhala copyright 2004 by Yannis Haralambous. OTF tables added by Anuradha Ratnaweera an d Harshani Devadithya, and modified by Harshula Jayasuriya. “Kunddaliya” glyph Copyright (c) 2006 Harshula Jayasuriya

I would install that package and then see if files with Unicode characters in that code block are rendered OK.
