How can I install Opensuse 11.3 via a U dish.

My computer don’t have a DVD driver. So I want to install Opensuse 11.3 via a U dish.
I burn live CD in U dish. And select Usb-hdd as the first boost. But I am failed.

What is U dish?

According to google its some device for growing cells.

I’m pretty sure there is no possibility to install opensuse on living cells, I would wait few decades for that.

I think it’s a brand name of USB sticks.

Did you try using the Live CD .iso? The DVD .iso may not work from a USB stick.

I think it might be a brand of USB stick,

U dish is a USB-stick. But I can install a Kubuntu with a USB-stick.

Have you read and followed the instructions at SDB:Live USB stick - openSUSE?

It is no use to do that. I do it in Windows 7. There is a button select. I click it then it ask me to choose a image files(*.raw). I don’t know what is that. Live CD is a .ISO files. I am crazy.

Perhaps you did not read the section for Windows which says…

Windows instructions

If you are running a Windows operating system, the following instructions apply:

  1. Plug your USB stick and find the drive letter that corresponds to your USB stick in the “My Computer” window. The new drive that appears after plugging in your drive is the drive letter you will use later.

  2. Download the command line dd tool for windows and use the above instructions.

This does not work for the DVD iso. Only for the Live CD iso.

In that case it is the same, you can simply rename the .iso file to .raw or
you can enter *.iso into the file selection dialog and press enter.
