are the both KDE? or GNOME? or LXDE? etc?? and both same version?
if not then i guess it is easier to just use Mandriva.
and even if the two DEs are identical, i’d guess it would be nearly
impossible for most users to make the switch you want to make–i know i
would not attempt it.
if looks is more important to you than (say) YaST, then just use Mandriva!!

do not you know any better way to install a KDE theme in one distro in another KDE distro?!
and about YAST i want to mention:
openSUSE and Mandriva are having something in common: a very good control center. In openSUSE is called “Yast” and in Mandriva “Mandriva Control Center” or as they call it “MCC”.
At last you have mentioned KDE, but not whether your Mandriva and openSuSE are using the same version.
If you want to apply the Mandriva branding to openSuSE rrthat will be non-trivial (and I think pointless). The theme elements would have to be extracted from the Mandrive branding rpms.
Installing KDE themes is largely independent of distribution. You will find a discussion on this topic at :

It is generally useful to read other threads on the topic before posting. Note that themes for earlier versions of KDE may not have been maintained for newer versions.
