Hi people,
I have a client tha has more than 10,000 machines running a modified version of openSUSE 10.2 with kernel 2.6.18, which they don’t want to change. I do need to get a webcam of them working in this kernel version. I know, however, that the latest version o the kernel recgnizes this device as /dev/video0, using driver UVC Video. So I thought about compiling V4L2 for this kernel version but several problems have arised.
Now I’d like to ask if anyone has been able to get V4L2 and it´s drivers in such an old kernel and if so how it was done? And actually if it is possible to do so.
TIA,
Scirious.
