How can I change the systems radio/check buttons?

I noticed that all radio buttons and check buttons are much larger than on windows. My firefox 6 has such big radio buttons that some homepage layouts are totally disrupted.

Where can I change that, making at least radio and check buttons look like windows (just for the sake of visual compatibility)?

It probably starts with the page’s sourcecode… whether the objects’ sizes are hardcoded are not, and how the page is constructed.

As a quick band-aid fix though, have you looked at the Firefox menu

View > Zoom

Usually it applies only to text, but who knows?
If every other page looks proper, I’d recommend messaging the website’s webmaster before fiddling too much with your browser and system systems.

IMO,

No, sorry for misunderstanding me, but I mean that every page looks like that. And it’s not only firefox, but certain other programms as well which seem to use default system buttons.

It is too hard to answer usefully unless you are willing to tell us which openSuSE version you are using, and also the desktop typpppppype (KDE, Gnome, LXDE, etc.) and its version.

No problem:

uname:
Linux Prowler 2.6.37.6-0.7-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2011-07-21 02:17:24 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

with KDE (latest version from yast)

A photo would be nice, to estimate the size.

Why is it so hard to simply let us help you without having to guess through your obfustcation?
openSuSE version = cat /etc/SuSE-release
Help > About KDE menu in any KDE application.

I am guessing openSuSE-11.4 and KDE-4.7.1 from the KDE:/Release:/47/openSUSE_11.4 repository

From the Kickoff Application Launcher > System Settings >

In most Applications “<ctrl>-” makes things smaller and “<ctrl>+” makes them bigger. Right-clicking on toolbars offers the option of “icon size” etc. Panels and Widgets have control bars when hovered on that allow resizing.
