How can I change the icon for the gnome menu?

I’m currently using openSUSE 11.0 and I believe I have the most current GNOME. On the panel, when you add the “traditional gnome menu” it shows the black foot print that normally indicates the menu. I know it’s possible to change the icon with a theme, because I’ve done it before. Unfortunately since I like to change distributions a lot, but seem to keep going back to openSUSE and forget a lot of what I’ve done I can’t seem to remember how I did it before.

Anyone here know how to change the icon?

Could someone help me out? I know someone has to know how to change the menu’s icon.

It use to be
