Hi, i recently installed OpenSuse 11.4 on VirtualBox into Windows Xp, i read some where that dvd version has both KDE and Gnome desktops, so my OpenSuse desktop is KDE now, How can i change Desktop manager to Gnome?

11.3 Can not install Gnome after Install with KDE
This is a thread for 11.3 but it should work for 11.4 as well (some modifications maybe required).
Btw this is a section of the forum in which You tell people how to do things not ask questions 
You might get better help asking in the get technical help -> applications section.

The initial post is in the wrong area. @ ilAli , if you had looked where you were posting, you would have seen words in LARGE LETTERS at the top of the page asking one NOT to post in this area.
In 30 minutes to an hour, I am going to move this thread to applications area. I need to wait that long so that this warning post gets out across the NNTP gateway. For web users I will leave a link to the new area for 1 week.

If i understand OP question correctly the current setup is:
WinXP :: VirtualBox :: openSuse 11.4 & KDE (Presumably 4.5 grade)
Note, some details may be wrong or omitted.
Suggestion: If my understanding of the setup is correct: start the
VBox/oS 11.4/KDE session; insert the DVD; start Yast; select
software/package management; switch from search to patterns (somewhere in
the upper left) select Gnome and install (if not already installed); in
Yast select system/desktop, unselect autologin, select desktop, select
Gnome. exit, logout, restart VM if needed, at login screen find and
select Gnome, login and experience Gnome.
OK, i installed opensuse 11.4 with gnome desktop, how can i add KDE desktop now?
i could not find “pattern” in gnome.
