What exactly is your question?
I am running OpenSUSE 11.0 on a AMD 700Mhz Computer using Linksys
Wireless Router into the internet thru a DSL line. I started using
Apache 2.2 to set up a non-profit web site for some friends in my
area dealing with some medical problems. I have been checking the
apache access_log on a daily basis to see if anyone is using it.
To my surprise I found quite a fue IP’s from China tring to break
into the computer. I was told that hosts_deny would work to keep
the China IP’s out of my computer. I did a whois to get the list
of IP’s and placed them in the hosts_deny file. The IP’s were from
60.166.x.x to 60.175.x.x. I rebooted the system in hopes it would
work. The next day I found another IP from China. Can anyone tell
me how I can block these IP’s from my system. I assume using the
hosts.deny file.
