Hooking up my PDA

I just started with a clean install of Open SUSE 11 and I would like to use my Garmin iQue M5 PDA that is a Pocket PC. When I plug it into the USB I am not seeing it anywhere. I have also used the Palm Pilot Tool and the Kitchen Sync with it and it is not recognized. Is there another program that may work with it?

Windows PDA operating systems are a constant source of joy when you use Linux. What do you want to actually do once the device connected successfully?

I would like to be able to put my contacts and calenders into Kontact. I have also set up a VM with windows so I can use the GPS features that come with the PDA.

Never got this to work, which doesn’t mean much. Here’s some stuff to read which may help:
http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/2008.1_Synchronization
http://www.opensync.org/

People have reported better success with Thunderbird than with Kontact. Also look at funambol:
