Home protected directory

Hi all,

I have a situation just like below.
Previously I have opensuse 11.0 in may laptop, I set a home protected directory in it.

Then I install (new installation) the 11.2 as replacement my previous 11.0.
I set up the same user name for me too, it is lulik

The 11.2 is up now… but how do I access my previous home protected directory?

I still see the lulik.img and lulik.key, but have no idea to do with this.

I do appreciated for any your advice.

So your previous /home/lulik was encrypted?
Maybe OpenSUSE 11.1 Reference - Using Encrypted Home Directories helps.
If there’s any content now in /home/lulik you should move that somewhere else.

Yes it’s right, it is encrypted.

When the 11.2 is up, using yast I try to make the /home/lulik to be encrypted again.
I just think that I could load it again, but I find message lulik.dmg is already exist.

Try setting it up this way and replace the new lulik.dmg and key with the previous one.
