Home Neworking with eeePC 901

I am fairly new to Linux and want to setup a home network (file and print sharing). I have two computers, a Desktop (OpenSuse 11.1) and a eeePC (Standard Linux installed). I read something about using NFS or Samba, but not sure where to start?

Could anyone give me some pointers on where to start or any posts to read?

Hardware:

  • BT Home Hub 1.5 (UK)
  • 10/100/1000 switch connected to BT Home Hub
  • Desktop PC wired to switch (OpenSuse 11.1)
  • eeePC 901 connected via wireless (Standard Linux install)
