home network file sharing

I just switched from Ubuntu to openSuse because for some reason Grub blew up…lol

Anyway, I have 2 Windows machines, one running Windows 7 x86 and one running XP.The one with XP is connected with wireless off my router and the other is hardlined. I have a 1tb external hdd attached to my openSuse machine and would like to set it up to share either by regular sharing or with an ftp client. I have dual Nics on my openSuse box if that matters.

Thanks

Hi
Instead of ftp, use something like winscp (on the windows machines) and
use YaST to enable the sshd service and open the firewall for the secure
shell server.

Else you could look at something like samba, see here;
