Hidden trash-folder

I’ve got a multimedia player, and I’ve been using it with Suse for a while and so far so good. But, I’ve hit on a problem. I seemed to have a folder that Suse refuses to show me, but when the player is hooked to the TV it shows me a folder called ‘.Trash-1000’. And every movie that I’ve deleted has ended there and is just taking up space that I want to fill with other movies!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open a terminal and cd to the device eg;


cd /media/the_device
rm -rf .Trash-1000
cd

Or using your file browser, in the settings select ‘show hidden files’ and browse to the directory and delete.
