Help with KDE4

Hi all
I just need some help with some things on KDE4

First: There is any way to create a Keyboard Shortcut to “Show Desktop” ?

Second: I put an additional bar on the top of the desktop, but the icons of desktop (folders and files) still back on the top bar, here is a snapshot of the "problem, "

The shortcuts automatically align on this way vertical, or horizontal, but still back of the top bar.
There is any way to fix this?

Thanks all.

Hi,

First add the Show Desktop Widget. Then right click it and select Show Desktop Settings. You can set the shortcut there.

Not sure about the second one.

Ian

i could be totally off base on this one and if i am i hope someone catches it, but if the top bar behaves like bottom bar it should be drag and drop onto the bar itself. i know thats the easiest way to add to the panel, or you might need to add the original file to the panel and delete the desktop icons afterwards. just a lil food for thought. hope it helps^_^

Ian, how you can see on the image, I added the Show Desktop Widget, but when I right click it there is no option “Show Desktop Settings” there is just:

  • Add Widget
  • Add Panel
  • Block Widgets
  • Panel Settings
  • Remove Panel
  • Remove Show Desktop

any other idea?

Thanks

Hmmm… Must just be a KDE 4.3 thing then.

Try Ctrl+Alt+D

Good Luck,

Ian
