help to configure etoken (pkicleint)

I need to install etoken (contains digital signature) driver/software, rpm version is available but yast hangs at the end of installation, and rebooting the system comes up with some error.

how long did YaST ‘hang’?

what is the error that YaST returns?

maybe look into /var/log/YaST2/y2log around the time of your problem…

did you use the “Abort” button in YaST and wait for it to clear, report
an error and then shut down?

or, how did you shutdown?

and, what are the errors you get on trying to boot again??

and, what is your operating system?

yast hang permanently, had to kill yast2 (but cant kill pcsc) shutdown normally, but after reboot there was an error saying the temporary directory not empty check the installation…uninstalled pkiclient and dependencies it let log me in… actually I dont want to use windows only for that digital signature stuff…
can’t find the latest/updated version of etoken (alladin etoken).

personally, i can’t imagine the problem you are having is either an
openSUSE or Linux problem…since i’d never heard of eToken, pcsc,
pkiclient and whatnot, i’m gonna bow out of this thread and suggest
maybe you need to find where the eToken gurus hang out (i don’t think
that is here)…

as far as YaST hanging, why not try using the rpm command at a command
line, that way maybe you can see what the problem is…

oh, and i think it is pretty important to track down “latest/updated
version of etoken (alladin etoken)”…

hmmmm…i looked inside the RPM and it says it is a commercial product,
if you have a license you should have a source for both new versions and
support…
