Help please, netboot problem

Hi to everyone,
I am new in Linux so very confused, I accidentally pressed the F12Netboot option and since then i can’t work with my HP2133 mini-note (running SUSE 10). Every time i start the computer the normal procedure begins but before the loading completes a black/green/red etc screen appears. I have tried to fix the problem but the only i have done stops in a command asking “linux-nmxo login:” and after that “password:”
thanks in advance

Sounds like you’re logging into text mode!

Login with your username and password, then enter “startx.” What happens?

Hi,
when i enter the “startx” i took that as an answer: “xauth: creating new authority file home/usr/.serverauth.3524” and a line below "Fatal server error: Server is already active for display 0
If the server in no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock and start again

Please consult the X.Org Foundation support for help"

now what???

(excuse my poor english and accept my gratitude)

Your English is fine; don’t apologize for it.

Silly idea … just for kicks and giggles, try pressing “CTRL-ALT-F7.” That shouldn’t work, but if it does, you can mail me a hot dog.

On the almost-certain chance that it doesn’t work, and that your video config has gotten scrambled, go ahead and post your graphics card (make and model, ex., “Nvidia GeForce 6100”) and monitor info. Someone here will help you out.

well, that didn’t work but I sovle it!
What I did is the following:
. login with your user name
2. provide password
3. switch to superuser by typing ‘su’
4. type your root password
5. type ‘cd’
6. type '/usr/sbin/sax2
7. type ‘exit’ after the console program ran
8. press ‘ctrl+alt+del’ to reboot
as theo suggested in a differet problem
but it worked
Thanx for your interest and your time
