[HELP]Opensuse 11.2 no sound :(

When I first installed opensuse 11.2 , i first tried KDE and sound worked great on there after some tweaks (which i cant remember).
So out of curiosity, i tried installing opensuse again with gnome.
But, the sound wont work, i dont know how to tweak stuff in gnome, so could you please help me? Here are some stuff that might help.

I also note you have been trying all over the web to get help in Ubuntu what may be the same sound issue. For example:

… and I note others forums where a user with your handle is reporting sound problems.

You are certain, I assume, that your hardware is good ?
