Pls can some1 guide me through the installation of intel compiler 11.1 on opensuse 11.1 I m a newbie. Pls help.

Which intel compiler?
Why don’t you use the ones (GNU) available with the distribution?

ok I already installed the latest non commercial version of intel fortran compiler 11.1. I ll see if i can get the GNU version to install, Pls I m a newbie to this, Can you guide me with the GNU version pls.

I tried as u said, see what i get below:

zypper install gcc44-fortran
Loading repository data…
Reading installed packages…
‘gcc44-fortran’ not found.
Resolving package dependencies…
Nothing to do.

I need the latest version cos the code i m compiling is written in fortran 90.
