Help getting soundcard (HT Omega Striker) to work in 12.1

Soundcard = HT Omega Striker

Here’s the YaST set-up –

No matter what I set my primary card to be, it is always the third one that plays the test sound in YaST.

Phonon Module –

At one point in the KDE System Settings -> Phonon module, the three sound devices in there played sound, then I hit apply, the one randomly stopped working. After I reopened the module, none of them played any sounds.

From what I have read online, the Striker driver (CMI8770) comes installed by default, or it did, but I do know that sound will work. The question is, how can I keep it working?

With pulse audio and openSUSE-12.1 , the order of sound cards is no longer as important. You should be able to get sound working in any application using the sound card of your choice, using the application pulse audio volume control (pavucontrol). I gave some ideas as to how to do this in a recent blog thread of mine: Pulseaudio Basics for openSUSE with pavucontrol - Blogs - openSUSE Forums
