Help Decoding Default Partioning

Can any offer some insight to Yast’s default partioning of my two dinky hard drives? I have been reading up on partioning but do not quite understand all the types of filesystems that were created by default. I also plan to add much larger hard drive, but I have to remove one. Can anyone offer suggestion on how I should proceed?
