Help Connecting To Internet!

I need help in OpenSUSE i just installed the 12.1 version and i configured my wlan0 with DHCP (i configure this in Yast) Now the last think is i dont know how to connect to the internet

i think that i configured everything correctly when i clicked scan for networks it shows my wireless name (makuc) and i set up it with DHCP.
This is what it says

RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI (not connected)
Device Name wlan0
**started manually
**
IP addres assigned using DHCP

now how can i connect?

your network needs a default route, and a DNS server to approach for DNS
resolution. these can be set in yast -> network devices, too.

depending on your internet service provider, both of these can be assigned
automatically (there’s in network config. for that).

if that doesn’t work, you’ll have to set them manually. usually you’ll
specify your router’s IP as gateway, and google’s free DNS service is a
good choice for the latter (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

You might need to edit the settings for eth0 (assuming that is your ethernet port). Select the general tab. Set it to activate on “Cable Connect”. It is probably set to activate “At Boot Time.”

The reason for this edit is so that the default route is not reserved for the ethernet port. If you set for “Cable Connect” and there is no cable connected, then wlan0 will be given priority for routing. And that’s what you want.

mah this is to long i have some work to do im switching to mint

p.s: the new opensuse release should have easier internet configuring settings
