Hello,
after an update of ecryptfs (yesterday) when attempting to mount, after entering the passphrase I get
Passphrase:
Error attempting to evaluate mount options: -22] Invalid argument
Check your system logs for details on why this happened.
Try updating your ecryptfs-utils package, and/or
submit a bug report on https://launchpad.net/ecryptfs
?
/var/log/messages contains:
Aug 13 21:24:51 linux-vp82 mount.ecryptfs: Could not open library handle
Aug 13 21:25:00 mount.ecryptfs: last message repeated 3 times
Aug 13 21:25:00 linux-vp82 mount.ecryptfs: do_hash: PK11_HashBuf() error; SECFailure = -1]; PORT_GetError() = -8128]
Aug 13 21:25:00 linux-vp82 mount.ecryptfs: Error generating passphrase signature; rc = -22]
Aug 13 21:25:00 linux-vp82 mount.ecryptfs: ecryptfs_add_passphrase_key_to_keyring: Error attempting to generate the passphrase auth tok payload; rc = -22]
I already rebooted, but no effect.
/etc/fstab contains (edited):
DIR1 DIR2 ecryptfs rw,atime,user,noauto,ecryptfs_sig=HASHVALUE,ecryptfs_cipher=aes,ecryptfs_key_bytes=32,ecryptfs_unlink_sigs,key=passphrase,ecryptfs_enable_filename_crypto=n,ecryptfs_passthrough=n 0 0
/dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD5000BEVT-75A0RT0_WD-WXB1A60V9698-part8 /usr ext4 acl,user_xattr 1 2
I would be glad if somebody could help (need access to my data!)
Oliver
P.S. I wouldn’t know how to undo the update of ecryptfs? Via Yast apparently I only can uninstall it?
P.S.P.S. Don’t know how to ask ecryptfs about its version number (it is one of these unfortunate tools
which has no options for help, version etc.).
