Hi
I have installed this edition on the computer i am running as a server in my home and have setup the easy-ltsp to boot thin clients into the host. this works fine but is there any good resources to read up on about the administration side of things, i have no idea about how to select what each user can see and do, restricting certain file access etc.
obviously i have never done this before so any help would be appreciated
Pete.

if you require each user to have their own account, and NEVER let
anyone (other than yourself) have access to the root password you are
already half way ‘there’ on keeping a stable system
that alone will keep them out of system files and allow them to only
destroy their own home (and data, mails, etc etc etc)
managing users by groups and activities can all be done (rather
easily) in YaST…but, will require some reading and understanding to
do well…
here is an old posting of mine which is now pretty dated because
‘they’ moved everything around and changed links…and if/when it ever
settles down again i’ll try to update it…but, until then i’d
suggest you use the bread crumbs in that post to track down the
documentation for YaST, and build from there:

Hi,
I never used it, but looking up easy-ltsp tells me that it is obviously
based on the standard ltsp project which has its documentation here
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/ltsp/index.php?title=Ltsp_Documentation
Hope that helps.
