Hi
I run a NJYTouch version of those on my RPi3’s when needed through a hdmi<->vga converter I get FHD (1980x1080) if use xrandr command on a LP156WH (15.6") laptop screen.
See no reason aside from resolution on a 7" screen, however consider a 12V (since you need on for that adapter) to 5V adapter to feed the RPi so you only need one power source…
Do you have the right cable to connect from the adapter board to your screen?
great to hear from you. Very great that you encourage me to give it a try.
Many thanks for sharing your experience that you have made.
** Note: **i get these components from a friend - at the moment i do not have them.
So i am going to use the above mentioned screen in combination with the controller board
in other words: i want to get to run a 7 inch Display AT070TN92 -( see AT070TN92 LCDs :: i Have seen that i can get this up and running with the Controller-board )
