HDD's not mounting properly....

Hi peeps…

last time i used opensuse it was version 11!!! so it’s been a while!

Dolphon sees my hdd’s but it won’t mount them…

An error occurred while accessing 'New Volume', the system responded: The requested operation has failed: Error mounting /dev/sdc2 at /run/media/shugs81/New Volume: Command-line `mount -t "ntfs" -o "uhelper=udisks2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=100" "/dev/sdc2" "/run/media/shugs81/New Volume"' exited with non-zero exit status 14: The disk contains an unclean file system (0, 0).
Metadata kept in Windows cache, refused to mount.
Failed to mount '/dev/sdc2': Operation not permitted
The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown
Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting), or mount the volume
read-only with the 'ro' mount option.

any idea’s what’s up? or do i have to mount them manually?

on a similar note an sd card through a reader is mounted as read only… how do i stop that? thanks!

You should do what the message says:

The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown
Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting),

You apparently used that file system in Windows and did not properly shut down Windows (no fast boot or how it is called).

oh… fast boot causes this??? ****… at least now i know!!! thanks! I’ll test it and see!
