Dear All,
I found the solution by myself.
The audio device is not well configurated.
Go on Yast -> Sound -> Other -> Volume and set speaker that is 0 in default.
Well done Marco. If it returns you (and others) will know where to fix it. I had a similar problem on 12.3 KDE, with volume muted on first boot (just unmuted it via KMix), but don’t recall the volume level. It could also have been zero.
Also, my Intel HD audio device (ALC269 Analog) with Codec: Realtek ALC269.
I’m also glad to read this is working. I am thinking of purchasing a Toshiba Z930 Ultrabook, and from what I have read it comes with the ALC269 hardware audio codec.
It’s on my Lenovo ThinkPad, just over three years old now. Kernel 2.6.35 onwards auto-detected it as Intel Cantiga giving good results especially on headphones, and auto-muting has worked with kernel 2.6.37 and beyond. On all openSUSE releases during that timescale (11.2/3 onwards) it just worked.
