I have read that there are some consideration to take when installing opensuse in a boot fake raid or software raid, something like installing grub in a separate boot partition, my question is, with a hardware raid controller (like the one in the link or a server raid) is all this necessary or you proceed with the installation as normal.

That seems to be true RAID thus it should be transparent to the OS ie The array should look like a single drive to the OS.
