I just fried my MOBO, and will be installing a new MOBO, CPU and RAM tomorrow. When I start up my new system with my old HDD with the openSUSE install, it will just recognize my new hardware and keep working right?

are you switching cpu architectures? i.e. from a 32 bit to 64 bit processor?

No the old AMD Opteron 175 was 64-bit and so is this AMD Phenom.
The only other hardware change is I’m going to abandon my old sound card which was PCI and change to the on-board.
I’ll be using the same video card.
