hard drive unbootable after install

I had hp pavilion dv4 with W7 and Ubuntu, I installed openSUSE on ubuntu.
after first reboot the computer wont recognize the HDD.
I bought external case and the computer can recognize the hdd through usb.

what can i do to be able to boot W7 back not just the files i need the whole inviroment (i am in yhr middle of important work there)

Hi, most probably, something went wrong with the boot order of the disk.

have a look at Programming and Linux: Solution: Grub issues in opensuse with dual boot(XP, Vista, Win7) to repair this.
