hi guys,
i first had windows 7 on my laptop, 300GB HDD, then i completely wiped it and installed opensuse 12.1 instead, then after that i tried to install windows 7 on it but now it comes with series of problems, the windows 7 does’nt install it halts on 0% system files , and opensuse 12.1 is also gone , error come s-----> "boot mgr is missing:
press alt+ctrl+del "
please tell me what to do about this ? this seems to be a pretty complex problem to me , (windows and opensuse 12.1 are booth not installing now )
So, it is recommended you install Windows First and openSUSE Second. At this point, it sounds like you should remove (delete) all partitions, Install Windows and then Install openSUSE, if you still want to use it. If you understood partitioning, Both the Windows and openSUSE install disks allow you to remove all existing partitions and start over. If I wanted both Windows and openSUSE, I would likely limit Windows to the first 120 GB and let openSUSE have the rest. Here is more info on setting up partitions for openSUSE.
