I have had 11.3 installed on an HP mini 210. I recently dropped the comp and cracked the LCD screen. I have plugged in an external monitor but after I put in user name and password, the system hangs on the splash screen. This happens in every login option I try. I CAN get into the console, but I fear that I am too much of a newb to even know what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing that comes to mind is possible hard drive damage, but that may or may not be.
If you can get to a console, can you successfully log in? If so try running #smartctl -a /dev/sda and look at pending and reallocated sectors.
You might also try a live CD, just to see if everything is functioning normally.
