Whenever I try to install an RPM package on my HDD the apper gets to the point where I have to agree to a license, the license never appears and I cannot go beyond that point.
Information I presume will be relevant:
OS: Linux 3.1.9-1.4-default i686
Current user: irmis@linux-f5u2.site
System: openSUSE 12.1 (i586)
KDE: 4.7.2 (4.7.2) "release 5
It happens on any program that can handle RPM packages.
So, not sure what program you are using, but I suggest you use Dolphin. Go to the folder where the rpm file is located. Right Click on the rpm file and select Open With and pick Install/Remove Software and enter the root user password. This should work in openSUSE 12.1 using the KDE Desktop.
I use Dolphin and when I did that YaST2 opened and auto-refreshed but forgot about the package I had right clicked and just waited for me to search for something. I clicked ‘accept’ but it didn’t install anything.
it works perfectly from the command line. When I tried right clicking it it still stopped at the license agreement part. A part that didn’t even show up there.

Then it is not at all what I thought it might be.

Clicking on a command line? I’m lost.

The command line should put you a prompt to display text, “q” to exit, then
“y” to accept it. No clicking. Or you are using something else and not
explaining. :-?

Err I meant installing with the Apper by right clicking it in dolphin, still causes it to hang. The command line works just fine. I also install Adobe same thing happened it stops at the license agreement using anything with a GUI but works just fine using the command line.

Ok, then try zypper or Yast. If apper fails, most people in these parts
will tell you to remove it, broken app.
