When ripping a DVD, Handbrake crashes with a segmentation fault and core dump. It will rip the short files but not a 23 min one and none of the 2 hr ones.
DVD:Rip exits saying there it sees certain number of tracks (?) but there was a lesser number.
Anyone know what may be happening and how to fix?
I’ll be glad to post whatever other info might be needed.
You say “Packman Repository”, probably meaning something with that. And most probably you mean the same thing as I do, but we have seen strange things here.
So does this mean that you have added the Packman repo to your repo list and also that you did the vendor switch?
When one installs something directly from Packman, but never did the switch, there can still be crippled libraries on the system. Dependencies are fulfilled, but they can be the non fully functioning ones.
Doing the switch (again) never hurts.
And I never said the it is the source of the problem, but for all multi-media problems people here first want to be 1000% sure the switch is correctly done. To rule out that it is the problem source. And giving advise about a system with unknown status is a bit difficult.
And I can add that when you take the trouble to walk trough the Multi-media problems here over the years, you will find quite a lot that were solved by the OPs doing the switch. Easy advise, easy to do and everybody happy.
